Credit cards.

With the changes to amazon I need a new credit card 🙄

It also seems my current credit card has stopped giving me cashback (no idea when that stopped) so if I replace it I would like a reward credit card. Preferably a cashback one rather than points.

Mastercard or Amex. I used to have an Amex but a few places didn't accept it has that improved?

Any suggestions?

Not sure about reward cards. I have Halifax clarity as I can use it overseas with no charge. Great for holidays!

We have Halifax Clarity MasterCard; used for overseas spending.

We also have BA Amex Premium Plus credit cards; our cards that everything we spend in the U.K. goes on and which earn us Avios & BA companion vouchers; they also offer many money back deals on spends with lots of retailers which change on a regular basis; May depend on where you live but very few places that we frequent don’t take Amex.

I do have a clarity for travel. But want a reward card really.

I'll look at the Amex ones. I had one a few years back and placed like wilkos didn't take them. Can't tenderness where but I know a few others.

I have an Amex and I find I can use it in most places. When I can’t I just then use my Halifax card.

Another vote for Amex here, it’s a lot better than it was a few years ago.

I love my Amex card. So much flexibility over where I can spend my reward points. More places take them now. Wilko and B&Q, for example, who didn't used to, do now take it. Have my Nationwide card as backup for those that don't.

We have Tesco because we shop there so quickly rack up points. I mostly use them for days out, cinema, meals or hotels.com

I use Amex platinum and by using it for business expenses also can really max the points. It’s a high annual fee but with the lounges and other offers I always cover it.

Just on a side note however if your using a card abroad you don’t want Amex under any circumstances, I forgot my wallet a couple of weeks ago on a trip to target, no problem I thought I’ll use Amex Apple Pay.

$240 results in a £5 foreign fee! Won’t make that mistake again, that’s why I have a no fee card also.

I have a capitalone reward mastercard. No fee, but the cash back has been eroded over the years and I now only get 0.5%. It pays onto your card every January. I’ve just had £198 cash back. We put literally everything on it (except abroad spending which we use Halifax clarity). I don’t usually get that much, but we’ve spent more on the house and Uk holidays this year. I don’t know if capitalone still do reward cards for new customers?
