Not true. If you have an old iPhone, it won't be able to run MDE either. The problem here is the Android version the OP is using is older and falls below minimum specs.

MDE works just fine on my Android v11. Better than it would run on my backup iPhone.

IOS 13 and above so thats an iphone6+

Our venerable ipad mini 2 was obsoleted when 13 came out. a shame as it lasted many a year and still ran everything very well compared to similar aged android devices.

As mentioned above, it is a problem if someone has an old iPhone that doesn't run iOS 13 or above. So, for example, if you have an iPhone 6 bought back in 2015 then it would have the same problem as the OP has.

The problem here is that the OP has an old device running an old version of Android, which is also a problem with old iPhones. It's not a problem with Android phones specifically.

An unsupported iPhone. The O/S is still supported, but the iPhone itself can't download/use the latest version of the O/S so it's unsupported.

I assume the OP has an unsupported Android phone. It can't download the latest version of Android (v12) and is stuck with an O/S from 2016.
