Volcano bay - on-site perks

We are staying at universal for 3 nights but worry that won’t give us the time to both parks and volcano bay.
Is there any benefit of doing volcano bay whilst onsite or is it just as easy to come back and do a day the following week. I think I might have read about early entry, does that make a big difference (travelling end of august if that makes a difference).

You do get early entry but end of August is heading into the low season as US schools have gone back so crowds shouldn't be too bad. I would definitely prioritise the parks while you're onsite and go back to VB later in the trip if you don't get to it.

Depending on your timings for check in and check out day then at the end of August 3 nights would be more than enough to get all 3 parks done.

Up to 4 full days with early entry and express passes (if in deluxe).

Of course depends what you want to do and how much down time etc.

As for VB then yes it seems early entry is the main perk whilst staying onsite.

This trip will be our second time at VB and we are going to have a full day there. Cannot wait!

been on site at cabana bay you can walk into volcano bay , so we actually did it later afternoon early evening. Think this is useful if on site.

The 3 nights includes our travelling day so not sure we’ll even make it in on the first day. Maybe we’ll do an evening or come back. Definitely want to try it. Thanks all!
