Honestly it depends..

I’ve had 20 miles take 2.5 hrs in LA and others times much less ,

And the same with LAX, when i was there last month , it wasn’t overly organised , check in was taking forever mostly because those in front were disorganised ,Security on the other hand was very quick, probably 15 mins from joining the queue which was huge.

Once when we stayed in Anaheim I sent my husband out at 6am to get something , took that long I thought he has left me, traffic was absolutely heaving even at that time.

I think, not sure, you may not get dropped off at the door of LAX with an Uber any longer. I would personally book a service in advance which takes you to the door. If they also pick you up, you can ask for their advice on the pick up time - they will be experts as they do it every day at different times of day.

I haven’t used such a service personally as Uber still collected from the terminal when we last went but I know MF will know
You are correct - Ubers cant access drop off at terminal; they have their own zone and you need to so help it to the terminal or use the minibus. Allow an addition 30 mins for that but I use a private company as I want to be dropped off by the airline desk (the airport is too huge to walk form one end to e other what luggage )

MF could you share the name and maybe an idea of cost so Louise could look into that if she decides to go that way?
