Sixt recent rental? Credit card hold!
Hi all,
We have booked with sixt for 17 day rental of a large 7 seater suv (Chevrolet suburban or similar) from Miami in October. Sixt have confirmed that the cc hold on that vehicle type is $500 plus the total rental amount. So I know this may sound like a daft question but does that mean if I’ve already paid for the full amount of the rental that I will only have $500 held or does it mean I will have $500 plus the total rental cost held despite the fact I’ve already paid the full rental amount? Sorry if this doesn’t make sense just what to make sure I cover all bases. Thanks |

I’ve sent sixt another email asking for clarity, I’ll update when I hear back 👍

Sixt have just confirmed that total hold amount on my booking is $500 if the car hire is prepaid.
This differs however based on what car you hire, so double check with sixt if you want to be sure. |
