Boo Bash worth it?

So we attended MNSSHP in 2019. It was really busy and I felt like given it was sold as a limited capacity event it was the busiest I had ever seen the park and very uncomfortable in terms of crowds, I read afterwards that part of the issue was that while guests who paid for the extra event wore wrist bands to access rides and trick or treats etc, Disney didn't proactively ask day guests who didn't have the band to leave the park. This created a mass of people left watching parades and fireworks etc and making the event overcrowded. Anyone know if this was the case or did Disney just oversell it? I'm considering the Boo Bash but hesitant that it will be the same as the event starts at 9pm with access from 7 but the park is open to day ticket holders till 9pm so wonder if the same thing will happen.

I've done a regular (non-themed) after hours event and felt it was really crowded. Not sure if that was non-ticket holders still in the park or too many tickets sold. But either way, wasn't worth the money because what I wanted was a less crowded MK at night, I wasn't bothered by ride times. It just felt like a slightly quieter day rather than the exclusive experience they try and sell.

It's hard to say it's worth it or not, for us 2017 was so much better but 2019 was still OK. There was alternative dates in 2019 which was far less busy so it seems a bit pot luck. Can anyone confirm the price of Boo Bash please? I've just seen tickets for sale on attraction tickets 😳 £103

Currently $129-169, depending on date chosen. Halloween is already sold out, that was probably more expensive. Just checked a full price list, they were $199.

Tickets for 2019 NSS started at $79 IIRC. And an after hours event is WAY less of an experience than the full party. I'm now firmly in the not worth it camp.

MNSSHP - worth it, done it a couple of times, can’t say it ever felt overcrowded though.
Boo Bash - based on ticket price alone I’d say not worth it at all!

I can't remember how much we paid for 2017 tickets but 2019 we paid £65

The boo bash is massively overpriced for what you get, I love MNSSHP but no thanks to the boo bash, I have booked Halloween horror nights and am looking to go to the howl o scream at Busch for my upcoming trip

Really? We have done two After Hours events and they were absolutely dead, it felt like we had the park to ourselves.

When we did the toy story extra morning magic it was far busier than I expected for a limited event. It was still great though.

That's what I was hoping for and why I splurged on the ticket. But it felt exactly the same as earlier in the evening to me. I do travel in off season anyway and it was also cold (by Florida standards) that night, so maybe the only people in the park that evening also had tickets.
