Has anyone flown via Heathrow transferring T5 to T3 recently?
We are going EDI > LHR > Boston soon, the BA flight from EDI lands in T5 and then we transfer to an AA flight in T3.
It's all on the same ticket booked with BA. has anyone done a transit between terminals recently, wondered how that experience was of getting the bus and how long it took? I'm guessing we will have to show our vaccines, tests and attestation form in EDI? and we should get our boarding passes in EDI for the Boston leg so we shouldn't need to pick them up at LHR?

My dd did DUB>LHR>DFW a few days ago. All documents were checked at Dublin and she was given boarding passes for both flights. She transited from T2 - T3 in Heathrow with 1 hour 55 mins between flights, BA same ticket. Without stopping but not rushing, it took her about 45-50 mins to reach her gate at which time boarding started. Her documents were rechecked.

Interested too as we’re doing this from Belfast-Heathrow-Seattle with BA/AA with a 2 hour layover hoping it’s enough!

Just thought I'd post an update on this now we are back from Boston!
The transfer from T5 to T3 was not the best... It was lucky the Edin flight landed 20 min early or I'm not sure we would have made it! BA HAVE this new rule that they disembark folk row by row and of course we were at the very back. Then it was a brisk walk off the plane then to a person that was checking your docs for the next flight. Then onto bus transfer station. This was when it got very busy. We were on the third bus that arrived, 2 came and filled up with folk on front of us. And the buses were about 10 min apart. So bus to T3 , then off the bus to the flight connections centre where we were directed into a q at the AA desk for them to check our verifly or docs, even tho we they had been checked in Edin and we had our boarding passes for the Boston flight. But apparently they needed to be reprinted with AA boarding passes. And there was literally 2 ladies working this desk and where in no hurry. Eventually the Heathrow colleague started arranging people by which flight was departing first so were put to the front of the queue. Eventually seen and new boarding passes printed and verifly checked again. Then put onto another q to have our boarding passes checked for security. Then a q for security and this seemed soooo slow. Finally through and follow signs for departure gates. And turned out ours was a 20 min walk and already boarding. So we took off to find the gate - didn't take us 20 min in the end, but we made it and pretty much straight on the plane. So was pretty stressful, I don't think I'd book a T5 to T3 transfer again unless we had hours between! We had 1hr 45 min but with the extra time from early landing we made it. It must have took about 90 mins from getting off the Edin flight to boarding the boston flight.

2 hours should be fine. I think it really just depends on timing when you land for the buses , we must have landed in an extra busy period. It was the waits for the buses that really held us up.
Oh yea Boston was fantastic, very Christmasy. The flight over was super quiet as well, hubby and I had a row of 4 seats to ourselves each! In our bit of the cabin there was 80 seats over 10 rows with about 10 occupied. Madness!
