Take a ‘black light’ off Amazon, I am sure we would be very shocked.

Ha ha. I suspect if we used one of those we wouldn't stay in any hotel in the World!

Our first room smelled so badly of damp and mold we left straight away and went back to reception and asked for a move, it was a terrible smell

BWV has had a recent, and quite a big refurb, some of the things you posted are on display there now, the toilet roll one being one I noticed and some very dodgy paintwork around doors and skirting boards.

I think DVC basically give the refurbs to the lowest price, and quality suffers as a result.

Some of the choices DVC make are rather odd as well, they replaced dark carpet in the rooms with a light biscuit colour, means it has a lot of visible marks and the Sofabed 'upgrade' is awful in BWV. The new sofabed you have to remove all cushions before pulling bed out, meaning you have no room to store them! I know they have since rethought the Sofa bed, but it will be a long time till BWV gets them.

I think the people who design these rooms need to spend a week living in one, then you notice what works and what fails.
