17.06.2019 - Santa Barbara

Travelling this time was DH (54) - driver/eater/moaner/petrol head/biker

Me (51) - navigator/planner/booker/spreadsheet creator/feeder

We slept well thanks to the comfy bed and the alcohol last night

Breakfast was in the hotel and was delish

Today was just going to be a relaxing wander. Stretching our legs and seeing as much as we could

Santa Barbara was such a pretty place. You could see the Spanish influences everywhere and although there didn't seem much to do, you could understand why many celebrities made it their second home.

We walked the length of Stearns Wharf

Which had a few fishermen on the end. It was very chilled out which was just what we needed

The weather was a little overcast still but the sun came out later on

We walked into the historic district

and found some AMAZING ice cream

One of the flavours was marionberry. Never heard of it but my goodness it was incredible!

Back to the Wharf to pick up our ride for the day

This was soooo good and nearly empty!

So we had a row of seats each

The tour took us further into the historic district than we had walked and the tour guide was really funny and informative. We saw the City Hall, Arlington Theatre, The court house, the Santa Barbara mission and loads of wineries

Before making our way back to the harbour and going in!

We really enjoyed the tour and would recommend it

We went back to the room to freshen up before walking back down to the harbour area in search of food.

There were various restaurants, but there was huge queues for them all, so we ended up at the same bar as yesterday

A lovey relaxing day

Sounds like a good day and nice to have a break from driving.
