Hurricane Delay - Insurance

Wouldn’t the DVC hurricane policy apply? Interested as these DVC bookings are worth a small fortune.

We had flight delayed from Wed to Thur so needed extra night. I asked for a studio on cash but there were none, was given a 1 bed for the price of a studio ($357). Bonus we were moved into the 1 bed immediately so had 3 nights in a 1 bed.

Had already called insurance and they confirmed I could claim the extra night, plus expenses.

Just to confirm what happened - we did what was recommended earlier on this thread and got Disney to confirm the price of the room we were in for the 2 nights and put that through. I spoke to Virgin last week and they have agreed to pay the cost of everything but the car hire. They have been really good to be honest they didn't even question the DVC points
