Booking through US website

Hi We are looking at booking a cruise next year from New York with Royal Caribbean.

We would like to book direct through their US website, as the prices are cheaper than booking through the UK. (Even with the taxes added on)

My question is, can we book through the US site and pay in Dollars? I did it this year with Carnival, but not sure about Royal Caribbean.

Thanks
James

When i looked at doing this it didn't seem like you were able to do it online without telling fibbs about your home address as you had to give a state, province in Canada or some other random countries (none being the UK). You could put your nationality as British no problem but it didn't allow UK address. Some of the discounts are relative to where you reside and I didn't want to risk it.

I believe you can book through a US TA though no problem.

Thanks for your help. I managed to book Carnival through their US website without much problems. The only thing I had to do was phone up Carnival to take the deposit and then the balance payments. The website would'nt accept my card. The lady on the phone told me it was because our postcodes have letters in them and the US zip codes are all numbers.

I suppose the best thing is to give it a try. As I said, the same cruise worked out at over £200 less by booking through the US site.

I’ve booked Royal Caribbean cruises with Vacations to Go no problem - no fibs necessary. Some of the cruise lines that are part of Carnival Corporation eg Princess and Holland America don’t allow it.

Ive booked a Disney Cruise with Dreams Unlimited, a USA based travel agent. They give on board credit based on the value of your cruise. Very easy to book with them. They also book no Disney Cruise lines including Royal Caribbean. And they also give on board credit for non Disney Cruise lines too.
