I usually book the hotels through attraction tickets direct, but have booked with Disney direct and British airways before. We never tend to book a package ... always seems expensive to me. Maybe it’s because we always go in the summer holidays so the deals are harder to find?!

Excited about Disney

I work in my children’s school now so I cant get away with booking out of school holidays...
So do you still get the Ddp if you just book a hotel ? Don’t think TUI do this do they? And I worry I won’t find direct flights when booking separately... and how do you book a transfer from the hotel if your not having a car? 🤯 Edited at 09:15 PM. |

I haven't booked for August but September 2021 with TUI staying at Universal Endless Summer Resort Dockside Inn and Suites 651 days to go and counting was way too good a price not to go for it and direct flights from Glasgow.

Hi Danni, I’ve booked flight online and will add a Disney hotel (and hopefully free dining) next spring when the offers come out. I will book the hotel Disney direct most likely.
Mom going to use Uber for the transfer, much cheaper than booking a transfer when I’ve done quotes. Hope that helps!

Yes, you still get the DDP if you book a hotel without flights (you do need to book park tickets at the same time as booking the hotel though and the stay has to be 5 days or more).
TUI might be able to do this for you - I don't see why not. A travel agent could book the Disney hotel and tickets for you and you'd get the free DDP. However, I suspect TUI will try to get you to book a package - they make more money that way. You can still book direct flights with TUI separately if you want. TUI sells flights that aren't part of a package. Or you can get direct flights with Virgin or another airline, depending where you fly from. Admittedly, you might find that a package holiday is cheaper than booking it separately (I've found that sometimes in the past). You can often book a transfer as part of the flights. Or you can book a transfer separately with a different company - it's a bit like booking a taxi to pick you up from the airport. Of course, if you fly into Orlando International and are staying at a Disney hotel then you can get the Magical Express buses for free.

Both my wife and I are teachers so stuck to holidays too! We book direct or through ATD for Disney with DDP. Then we book a transfer separately too.

We've booked 3 weeks flight only (premium) for September/October 2021 with TUI for 6 of us from Glasgow. £1200 more than for next year though (booked last year), but you can't take it with you. Not a Disney trip in 2021, but Discovery Cove package and probably a disney cruise. Booked a friend's villa in Emerald Island again. Seems a while to go though.
