Can you queue during early hours for onsite guests?

We arrived at 8.30am today, they started letting people in about 8.45am and we were on the ride by 9.30am.
Unfortunately, we were not off the ride until 10.00am because we got stuck by the Unicorn.
They gave us a red pass of power though so we will be trying again today

How is this ride still breaking down daily?! Should they have done what Disney have done with Rise of the Resistance and waited until it was 100% ready to launch?

Did it at opening last Tuesday, waited 75 minutes. By far the best ride in universal, nice and smooth. Would do it over and over if I could.

We did the ride on Sunday morning & yesterday morning - both days we got to the IOA front gate at 8.10/8.15 or so, easy for us as we were staying at the Hard Rock.
On Sunday we briskly walked through the park at 8.45 or so, overtaken by a few 'runners' including one guy who slipped & fell due to the wet floor. We had done the ride by 9.20.
Yesterday (Monday) we did the same but it seemed busier & there were way more people running to the front or rejoining their families after dropping stuff in lockers. The ride had a delay & so we didn't get on till about 10.
Most other times we were there the ride was at or around 120-150 mins.

Some attractions are just prone to technical issues, test track as an example, maybe this is just another.

We got to gates at 7.45 this morning. Were let in at 8.45. Walked very briskly up to ride and were off by 9.03. Great ride.
By 8.15, the queues at entrance to park were massive.

Whooo hooo we done it! Said 2.5hrs wait think we were on and off within 2hrs! Kept thinking we were nearly there but more twists and turns 🤣 never mind it was well worth the wait , loved it

We rode this twice yesterday - once with a posted wait time of 90 minutes - on within 40; then again as single rider - on within 10 min ... today the wait was consistently 120 minutes and the single rider line was closed ( tho they won’t tell you this at the entrance and you can’t get to single rider until you have queues for about 30 minutes - ridiculous set up )

When we went at park open, the queue was apparently 5 hours long. We'd heard that they are not exactly accurate with wait times so we decided to stick it out. Throughout the queue they kept saying "this is the truth - it really WILL be 5 hours, our times are NOT artificially inflated". Glad we stuck with it because we were on and off within 2 hours

To those of you were asking about queueing early for onsite guests... when we went the park wasn't open early to onsite guests and anyone could queue as early as they wanted.
