MK After Hours question.

We are attending the Magic Kingdom After Hours party on our first full day in Florida. We are only doing MK on this day and have access to the park from 7pm until 1am. The party is on from 10pm until 1am so that is when we will be hitting the rides hard.

I really want to watch HEA as we have never seen it, and as this is our only opportunity I would like a good view. We do not have park tickets for the whole day so wont have any FP's. Also, as we have limited time in the park, I don't want to be staking out a spot ages before the fireworks start.

Does anyone think that the After Fireworks Dessert Party would fit in with our plans? I was thinking we could just turn up to the Garden Plaza just before 9pm and watch the show. Maybe grab a couple of desserts, and then go on some rides? Has anyone combined both parties? Or am I completely indulged? lol

Are you arriving in Orlando that day after a transatlantic flight?

Sorry OP I see now that you say first 'full' day so probably not arrival day. I find that the days close to arrival from the UK work better for early morning events than late night ones.

I know, and I absolutely agree. However, we are driving to the coast to meet family that live in St Pete's so we can only go on that day. I already feel sick with tiredness just reading about it but we have no plans for before the park and we know we will be up very early. We are planning a very rested afternoon.

I don’t see why the dessert party would not fit with your plans, it will really make a night of it and guarantee you a good viewing spot as you will only be there once. I usually book a dinner in the park prior to the after hours events as there is not much food on offer during the event, this seems like a good alternative.

By the way, you will be able to book three fast passes between the time you can enter the park at 7pm and up until the start of the event.

Thanks for that but I don't think I can book fast passes as I don't have any park passes. I only have a ticket for the after hours party so I have nothing to link any fast passes to.

If you link your after hours ticket up to your MDE account, you will definitely be able to book three fastpasses between 7pm and when the event starts.

I went to MNSSHP in September without a regular day park ticket and could book my three fast passes from 4pm which is when they let party guests in. After dark events works the same way.

OMG Thankyou so much for that information, I am going to have a look and see what is available right now!

Last time we went we had magic bands and I linked all my FP's to my band. I think I will either have a lanyard or a paper band for the party so how do I 'prove' my FP's? I was just going to take my email confirmation to MK on the night to gain access to the park for the After Hours Party.
