We did this when Tui was Thomson and it was a fantastic villa. My friend had his reservations at the time but admitted recently it was the best villa he’d stayed in and they’ve been numerous times. We couldn’t fault it at all

Just to update- we've gone ahead and booked with the wonderful My Magic Holidays. It's a villa package but is a named villa that we have picked on the new Solara resort. ( they have a selection to choose from on various communities)
Thought this might be useful info for people who like the security of a package but wouldn't be keen on AOA 😀

When we went with Thomson in 2015 we got a fantastic aoa villa but in 2017 we got a really terrible one which caused a lot of stress and upset. They did relocate us to a better villa but one which was further out.

We would never do aoa again. It's pot luck and when you're spending a huge amount of money it shouldn't be like that.

We're going with Kenwood Travel to a stay at a specific/named villa. We've seen photos of it and the lovely lady (Pam) who is dealing with our holiday has actually stayed in it. Can't wait!

In all the years we've been going to Florida, Tui was the worst villa we ever had. We chose the Glenbrook area and must have had the worst villa there. Definitely not as decribed lol. After a week of arguing and some repairs we paid to move to another villa on Emerald Island. Months of complaints and emails and got nowhere with TUI.

This year we booked a Dibb villa on Sunset lakes which was great and a lovely view.
