Are LHR departure terminals likely to change?

Sorry if this question has been asked before!

Are departure terminals due to change if/when travel opens up? We're currently into and out of T5 (MAN-LHR-MIA) in Aug/Sept but my understanding is LHR-MIA is usually out of T3?

Trying to decide on a hotel for the night before that involves minimal hassle

Someone asked pretty much the same question a day or two back, and I agree with the opinion given by most on that thread: it really wouldn't influence my choice of hotel.

Whether you're using the shuttle bus thing, Uber or a taxi, there's really not much difference which terminal you are going to.

I've flown from Heathrow a lot, and not once have I factored in the terminal to my hotel choice.

Ahh yes I’d seen that - with T2 and 3 being so close I hadn’t given it much thought beyond that. Have booked both T5 and Bath Road just in case. My jaw dropped at the uber costs though, don’t think we’ll be doing that both ways 😂 hoping twilight check in is offered so we can at least drop bags off after Manchester leg!

All terminals are connected by the train/underground service and between terminals the cost is free.

Until Heathrow is much more busy and they start to yse both runways, I can’t see the closed terminals opening yet
