Great blue heron catches juvenile gator
BE ADVISED; whilst the photos are not bloody/gory, they are of nature and show a great blue heron catching/swallowing whole a juvi gator. If you're of a sensitive nature take heed of the advisory; please don't look and then complain! Personally I think they're amazing nature photo's, even my 91 year old mother was well impressed.
I know great blue herons will, in general, eat anything, but it never crossed my mind a juvi gator would be fair game until a friend shared theses photo's taken at Lake Apopka, Fl. It would've been interesting to see this event in a video.
