New lappy required
Hi All, DW is after anew lappy.
Budget around the £400 mark (ish). Main thing is reliability. Would be used for e-mails,surfing the odd bit of banking. And the odd bit of photo viewing and minimal alteration of some photos. Any recommendations? t.i.a Ted was looking at this one? currys/gbuk/comput...08458-pdt.html

The laptop you linked to only runs Windows 10 S which limits the software you can run on it to apps from the Windows Store. However, it would be fine for the tasks you listed.
Unfortunately, there's not much for around £400 at the moment and even the £500 price range is lacking. |

One thing I would say is to check what connectivity (USB ports, Ethernet ports etc) that whatever you buy has.
I bought I new laptop end of last year and I didnt fully research what available ports were... and now i am working from home and wanting to connect external screen, external keyboard, external mouse (and also want to connect direct to router via cable not wifi)... I dont have all the available ports I need. Yes you can buy adaptors etc, but it would have been better to have what I now need built in. If you are just wanting to use it without much external hardware required - probably not an issue.
