12 seater van?

Hi all

I have a Party of 9 going to Florida and we only want to hire 1 vehicle.

I tried to book a 12 seater bus with Alamo but they said there weren't any available for the dates requested. I thought there might be 12 seaters in the row when you choose vehicle at MCO, but that was just a guess, so not sure what to do now.

Has anyone hired the 15 seater, do you think it would be too big for our party of 9? My DH isn't so keen on driving 15 seater.

Has anyone used any other companies to hire a 12 seater? We always use Alamo so not sure on any other companies.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If you are picking up at airport then I'd recommend the 15 seater. 9 people with 9 lots of luggage is going to be tight in a 10 seater.

They do have them but they are not as prevalent as they used to be. I think they tend to buy in more of the 15 seaters as a policy.
Not a great difference in size for driving.

We had a 15-seater one time and a 12-seater the next - didn't really notice any difference in length, there was just more boot space for luggage in the 12-seater.

We went as a party of 9 and had a 15 seater plenty of space on seats for luggage. The van was also surprisingly good on performance and fuel

We booked our 12 seater through rental cars.com. We phoned them up and they knocked a bit off the web price. I think we pick up off Budget.

I was told by virgin that alamo do not do 12 seaters anymore so we had to book the 15 seater, but the 12 seater is just the same size as the 15 seater, it just has the back row removed, or so I have been informed.

Alamo have a very limited number of 12 seaters but they'll never show up on our systems. They'll only let us book the 15 seater version.

We always book ours (usually hire a 12 seater) through floridatransport and they always ensure that they get you the vehicle you want for the best possible price👍🏻

Have used them for several years now & cant recommend them enough 👍🏻
