Uber will allow tips in the US from July

Once the new feature has been activated, riders will be prompted to offer a tip of $1, $3, $5 or a custom amount, as well as rating the driver as normal. Riders have up to 30 days to add a tip. Drivers will not know which riders have tipped them.

We tipped Uber drivers when we used them anyway bar a couple of unhelpful and unfriendly drivers.

Our DD was trolled so badly by London black cab drivers after she praised an Uber driver she closed down her Twitter account. I'm no fan of black cab drivers.
