Transporting your dress!

We're getting married in NYC, on our way to Disney, and I'm just wondering how to get my dress there? We're flying with United.

We are doing the same.

My dress is evening gown style, so whilst not bulky, it's beaded and v heavy. It is going in my hand luggage, along with the girls dresses, in case one of the cases goes missing. I think you can get special boxes for wedding dresses.

Mine was packed into a bridal box by the shop and I carried it as hand luggage

Am taking mine as hand luggage also, not worth the risk of loss. Have seen some lovely Bridal dress hand luggage boxes online if your dress shop doesn't offer them x

The bridal shop packed mine into my hand luggage case for me. I vacuum packed it for the way home. Chased a cleaner down the corridor in the MGM to borrow her Hoover .

Oh, not long now for you, have a wonderful time!

Mines technically a bridesmaid dress, so not to bulky. Hand luggage it is, with my girls bridesmaids dresses.

I took mine in the dress bag and they were more than happy to hang it in the closet in First Class for you. That was with BA though.

*we didn't fly First btw.

I booked a Virgin wedding and flew with Virgin. I bought a wedding box for £39 from them and carried it on board in addition to my hand luggage.

Mines is packed in my hand luggage by the dress maker I bought a vinyl decal and ribbon in tiffany blue for it, no need to buy wedding dress box. Wish I could attach an image it looks fab and easier to transport. Xx
