Agree with you and Geoffa. We stay in a nice little B and B and park our car in what was the back garden. Have been doing it without issue for 9 years. They "shuttle" you to and from airport.

The one time we used valet parking our car was damaged. They paid for repair but it was never the same.

Also worth looking into, another taxi driver told me this years ago and I'm not sure if it's changed. If you go by taxi/coach/train etc and miss your flight due to breakdown etc you will be covered under your insurance for missed departure as it's classed as public transport whereas go in your own car and they don't cover you. Not sure if that's still the case and if all insurance is the same but it's worth checking!

This has been going on for years it was uncovered several times at Manchester airport.
cars being left on Pub car parks/fields even being driven around and speeding tickets arriving in the post.

I do not think it matter what airport you use there is a chance your car could be next.

Like Mr Tom I to take photos and also take photo of mileage at drop off.

Sorry, had a wee snigger at the £25K remark, there was a time when that meant a decent car, nowadays you couldn't buy a top end Mondeo for that, a bloody Mondeo!
It shouldn't matter on the value of the car though!
Not wishing to sound snooty, crumbs, I drive a 6 year old Skoda now valued around £7K, but it's still show room condition.

No way would I pay £25K for a Ford!. That money got me a 6 month old BMW that was £38K on the road when new.

If it puts anyone's mind at rest, we've used meet and greet for about the last 9 years from Gatwick, Luton and Stansted, all multiple times and never had a problem. It's just so much easier this way with kids.

Don't think it is this time, our local news just did a report on it. :-( but I guess it might be another case of you get what you pay for?

I know, I know, but somebody is, Mondeo Vignale's are around £30K for a base model!
My flippant point being but poorly put, it shouldn't matter the value of the car, it should be looked after by those you trust to look after it as if it were a Bugatti Veyron!

It's the same with anything though. You get what you pay for. If you pay sensible money for a service you will get decent service. If you pay for the cheapest product without conducting any due diligence you will end up coming out worse off!
