A couple of BA Avis questions?

Finally off next week and I have a couple of questions.

I understand that if I look on my Avis booking it says I have the balance to pay but when I hand over my BA Voucher that covers the cost. What I want to know is when I hand the voucher to them and then sign any paperwork should I now get paperwork back from them showing a balance of $0?

Secondly is the toll pay device(sorry not sure the correct name) still possible to switch off? If so where is it located and is it easy to do?

We arrived at Tampa in February. When I got to the car I realised that the paperwork they'd handed us at the kiosk had an amount on it. I went back to query it whilst dh loaded the car. They at first said it was some kind of extra I'd agreed to and I said I hadn't then she said no its all pre paid but I said why does it have an an amount as it should say $0. After a few minutes wait she managed to log in to the booking on the system and gave me a separate print out that showed prepaid voucher and estimated $0. I will be checking in august when we go again and just make sure you also check the receipt you get on returning the vehicle!

We've hired AVIS via BA before and the full balance shows as payable until the last minute / day when BA pay AVIS, so as you arrive it should be zero. In Italy I had to pay a mistery tax of 13 euro, but too tired to argue.

The AVIS Toll pass is e-Toll and is optional, they used to be located by the rear view mirror and can be turned off with a lever that covers the lens. Not sure about any newer systems based on ANPR. Just read on the AVIS website that you're automatically opted once you drive through an cashless toll or don't pay at a cash toll.
