Mobile Jobs for 16 year old

Hi all,

DD16 will finish her GCSEs this week and won't be back at school until September so she would like to try and get a job for this time.

Does anyone know the best way to apply for jobs I said to her to do a cv but do you hand into employers or email nowadays? Was thinking of trying new look, primark, H&M etc does anyone know if this worth trying?

When our son was looking, he did online applications as well as handing his CV into shops.

He got a job from a CV that he handed in personally.

Good luck to your daughter👍

My DD is 16 nearly 17 and has found it relatively easy to get a job. She worked for McDonald's for 4 months, good rate of pay for 16 year old but a zero hours contract, she gave it up before exams.
She now has a job at Pizza Hut. Both she got very easily by applying online with a basic CV.

Sorry to sound silly but what is a zero hours contract.
