I once lost a stone in 5 weeks. I cut out alcohol, snacked on fruit and ate 3 healthy meals. I also exercised 5 times a week. It was hard work but it was for a wedding. These days I would be happy losing 1 to 2lbs a week. Good luck with your weight loss. 😀

It's took me 14 weeks to drop 2 dress sizes and a stone by joining a gym and looking at what I eat. Body shape changes with exercise and cutting out carbs is a myth. Your body needs then for energy. Increase your exercise and cut out alcohol and increase your veg/fruit you will see a difference . Good luck x

Unless you follow some faddy plan or eat ridiculously low amounts then imo no it isn't possible. You should aim for 2lb a week so that would give you a loss of 8lb, maybe a bit more if you lose a bit extra the first week. Unless you are seriously overweight to begin with (which it doesn't sound like you are at a size 14) I think you'll struggle to lose a stone in a month. I think a lot depends on age though, I could lose pretty quickly in my 20s and low 30s now in my mid 40s it's much harder.

It is possible yes however, i wouldnt advise rushing to lose it fast. I did mine through Slimming World and the reason i probably lost it was because i stayed 100% on track, no cheating, no sugary treats (my biggest downfall) and I kept myself active (not the gym). I had willpower at the time but like the majority of dieters i put mine back on after having a couple of bad weeks. So yes it can be done, but i would do it sensibly - as they always tell you, it's not a race but a lifestyle change. Good luck 😊

I think lots of SW members lose a stone in the first month.
It's not really possible to lose the second stone in a month but the first month it comes of faster. |

very possible with intense excise and just good eating, if you can do a 30-40 minute HIIT full body workout 4-5 times a week and just eat well, but by no means starve yourself you could lose probably closer to 2 stone in 4-5 weeks:
I used to eat: Breakfast: mackerel and cooked spinach or 2 scrambled eggs & toasted rye bread or grilled bacon medallions with grilled tomatoes. Lunch: Chicken / Turkey / White Fish with sweet potato (Mash/Jacket/Oven Chips) or whole wheat/brown rice with boiled greens. Tea: Steak / Turkey / White fish with sweet potato (Mash/Jacket/Oven Chips) or whole wheat/brown rice with boiled greens. For snacks I'd eat fruit or nuts through the day and just drink water and green or black tea through the day. I'd always allow myself 1 cheat day per-week so I'd go out for a meal or get a pizza/takeaway. As people have said it's a lifestyle change, it usually take your body anything between 8-12 weeks to get used to a new regime/diet.

When I was younger, I could always easily lose a stone in the first month of dieting/healthy eating. Now it would be nearer 7lbs as my metabolism has changed as I've got older.

I find Ivan often lose half a stone on the first week of a diet (but it's mainly water), then 1 -2 lb a week after that so I would think you could manage just under a stone.
