Suggestions for dining
Ok,
So we have booked to go over Christmas and we are currently starting to book our dining experiences.. We need to book a restaurant, outside the park and had earmarked Victoria and Alberts. I've just called them and been advised they don't take guests under 10, which is a massive problem because we have an infant! Back to the drawing board! We need a special dining experience, cost not an issue. What would you suggest? We are planning on a firework cruise later in the evening so need to be around the MK area. Was thinking Cali Grill but wanted something "nicer" if that makes sense! All suggestions welcome! |

If cost isn't an issue then eat at Citricos Chef's Domain then take a fireworks cruise. If you're really splashing out then book the Grand 1 yacht for the cruise.

No signature at the Poly, Chef's Domain is a private room just off Citricos main dining room. You have the opportunity to communicate with the Manager and a senior Chef in the lead up to your booking who will show you sample menus and then help you to choose your ideal meal. On the night you will meet the Chef and with the help of one of the more senior severs your experience will be delivered. There is a minimum spend of $650 for the table (our bill was larger but 7 of us had 5 courses plus champagne and wine) but I thought it was well worth it.

No reservations needed at Mizners lounge, Citricos also has a bar and tables in the lobby but not as plush as Mizners.

Thank you.
Called up last night to see about booking and the cost was roughly $850 plus tax per person. They don't do a kids menu which I didn't expect them too, but to pay over $1700 for two kids who would just as happily have burger and chips is a little extreme for us! Spoken to a lady at reservations last night who said pretty much our options are either Cali Grill or one of the GF options, I forget which one. Suppose these will be nice and we can put the rest of the money towards something else. Might look at the yacht if that's the case! |

You've been given bum info, the price is for the table and you order what you want. Special menu, kids menu, regular menu drinks whatever. All you have to do is eat/drink up to or over the table price to get your full value. I took seven adults including three picky teens and everyone got exactly what they wanted. The Managers email is Borislav.G.Perev@disney.com if you want to check the current arrangements.
