Food in Universal

Hi,

Looking for some advice on where to eat in Universal. Will be spending one night in Lowes Royal Pacific to make the most of the 2 days of fast passes. Can somebody recommend somewhere good for breakfast and lunch? Thinking we will probably go to Citywalk in the evening. Also do you need to book a table here or can you just roll up? Going to be there August 22nd-23rd. Thanks

We like Margaritaville and Bubba Gumps. Toothsome is getting great reviews for food (not just desserts). We also really enjoyed room service in RPR one night when we thought we weren't hungry but were by the time we got back to the room!

Our faves

Breakfast-
Starbucks
Croissant moon bakery (IoA)

Snacks-
(We don't bother with lunch)
Auntie Anne's pretzels
Ice cream from Florean Fortescue (diagon alley)
Butterbeer (Harry potter world)
Bumblebee mans taco's (Springfield)

Dinner-
City walk -
Hard Rock Cafe
Antojitos
Margaritaville
Bubba gump

We've never had to book any restaurants on citywalk or inside the parks and have only waited a short time for a table in most.

Mythos in IOA is my favourite for lunch - it's an oasis from the heat and very good value - only a few $ more than counter service for a great table service meal. We booked the night before via opentable but they were taking walk ups with a 20-30 min wait (this was late August last year.

We liked the Beverly Hills Boulangerie in US for breakfast and Cowfish in citywalk for lunch or dinner.

We didn't actually eat breakfast in RPR but it did look nice!

Confisco Grill by a margin the best we've eaten at IOA. Good price, good food and good portion size. All waiter served, no need to book 😀😀

The buffet breakfast gets mixed reviews and is around $20 + taxes, $15 for kids. A La carte? Well, if you're up for paying $6 for a cappuccino and $12 for pancakes the Islands Room at RPR gets decent reviews.

Probably better value for money in the parks which are only 10 minutes away.
