There is but I don’t know that it is a permanent thing.

It’s just a room really but it is well air conditioned with comfy sofas. We’ve always managed to get a seat.

Did you go for power passes or did you get a preferred for discounts?

As mentioned there are two 'lounges' in Universal.

The annual passholder one is opposite the old terminator ride and is sponsered by Coca Cola. No free drinks, you need to buy and really just an air-conditioned room. This is where you can pick up free badges they give out each month for annual passholders (although they always run out within a week or two into the month).

The American express lounge is for anyone who has brought park tickets using an AMEX card. It does not need to be annual pass, but as a minimum multi day or park ticket (no single day, single parks allowed).

A smaller 'cosy' room with air-conditioning. It has free bottles of water, crisps and oat bars. Good for a short break from the heat. It is on the other side of the road from Shrek, that goes between Shrek and the the terminator. Easy to miss, with just a small sign.
