If you do see a stray dog and feel confident and able to take control of it then do. Once you have the dog if you take it to your local vet they can scan the dog for the owners details as all dogs should be chipped, or they can pass the dog to the local dog pound if not. (or a good vet at least)

Well done for rescuing the dog. A lot of people would’ve just left it.
We have found a few just wondering the streets. We kept them safe and found owners when we posted on our local lost & found section on f.book. One time we found a puppy, he was so scared kept weeing every where. Managed to put him in a safe place in our garden. Found the owner they contacted me and saud I’ll be down for him after I’ve had my breakfast (it was at 8:20ish) 🤔 🙄. Hope your hand feels better soon.
