Busy day . Fab amount of sights though , OWO looks amazing, it's so humbling around that area isn't it.
Mmmm, Brooklyn pizza and crazy bridge walking ..just got to be done ! Looks mobbed around the Bull.

Glad you are getting around ok on the subway , it feels familiar quite quickly.

Lol at the breakfast gannets diving in there ... Although we used to get ours and some for the boys so our tray was piled high when we left !

9.11 memorial was an experience as it's really emotional. Your pics of Grand central are really good in fact looks like the family selfie was taken from same spot we did
No, it was ok, though I never tried a train change or anything complicated!
Those pizzas were amazing!
9/11 very emotional but so lovely
Thank you for reading

Well so was ours on the following days we were just being polite the first day and thought we ought to eat in!
Such a lovely area by 9/11, the bull was crazy!

Walking the bridge is something I really want to do, oh yeah and eat pizza the other side

How was it in Century21? Think my sons are hoping to get some clothes etc in there, is it worth going in? Loving all your reports, weather looks fab.

Bridge and Pizza was great

To be honest we didn't look properly in Century 21 partly as Dan decided quickly there was nothing he wanted and because we were hot and bothered by then!

Thank you for reading

Busy first day! We didn't go up OWO, one for next time. Great views, although it's a shame you were a bit disappointed with the experience you received.

The 9/11 memorial is amazing, but very surreal. I can't believe the Brooklyn Bridge was so busy, it was really quiet when we walked it ... well done on walking both ways, we got the subway over So jealous that you went to Jane's carousel, it's still on my bucket list as I took a fear of getting lost in Brooklyn and didn't venture away from the bridge Another thing on the "next time" list.

Well done on using the subway... I found the MTA app invaluable, and the subway much easier to get around than I had expected.

Loved the 9/11 memorial such a beautiful space, we walked both ways as I was still scared of the subway at that point! We would have got lost for sure without turning my data on and using google!

We are planning our first trip next July with DS 16 and DD 13, same ages as your boys.
Half wishing we were just going back to Florida again to what we know but promised something special for next year.
Flights booked and looking for hotels. Came across your trip report looking for posts about Broadway Plaza.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your 1st day and just wanted to say hi before I continue reading the rest of your trip report.
I feel very much out of my comfort zone planning this one so need tons of research/advice/help...
