So I know my 2 year old doesn't need tickets, but I'm wondering if it's possible to get him an adult ticket (only £30) so that he would get the adult dining plan, so that we could use his credits for adult meals (I'm thinking it could go towards some signatures and he'd share our plate as normal) anyone know if its possible, or do they still give him the childs plan even with an adult ticket?

Tempted to create some phantom adults for our room

It wouldn't be £30 though, it would be £449 based on current prices. That's approx $575, and I'm sure that would cover some extra TS/signature meals for 2 people. You'd need to crunch some numbers. If you decide you do want to do it, it would be much easier and less confusing to add a phantom adult than try and get him an adult ticket, provided you're not booking a package with flights. We've had phantom people on our bookings before for various reasons

Can you imagine if it was £30

What I meant to say is that it is £30 more for an adult ticket vs a child ticket!

Not a flight inclusive booking no, do they ask for any ID for said Phantom adult? Current prices are £429 per adult on Disney's site.

No, the only ID I've ever shown is mine as I'm the lead booker. US guests don't even need to do that as they don't have to go to reception to check in if they don't want to.

I was just looking at the ticket only price, which seems to be a bit higher than the ticket price when you book it with a room. It's still a lot of money that would need some number crunching though.

Stu's information is correct. If you look at the T&C's on the Disney site it says:

But why upgrade a child's ticket to an adult's ticket? A child gets dining credits just like adults. Or have they changed things in the last few years?

We need to go late October 2020, would free dining plan dates normally be extended? I hope we don’t miss out 🤞
