What do your kids call you?

Daughter is 21 she calls us mummy and daddy , son is 18 mum and dad
I noticed the other day that I am listed as mummy on her phone I think its really sweet.

I’ve always called mine mum and dad apart from a phase where I’d call my dad the longer version of his name - which isn’t actually his name.

When my husband speaks to his mum and she mentions his dad she says something like ‘daddy did this today’ I always smile, I think it’s sweet.

Mum and Dad or Mummy and Daddy if they are after something or mucking about.

Our 14 year old always called us mummy and daddy... now it’s more momma or mommy, her dad is still dad or daddy... it really varies. I think the momma came from my husband being American. I’ve always loved being called mummy or now momma... I’m Dutch by birth and I just love hearing little children in the U.K. refer to their mums as mummy... maybe not so good as she gets older 🤣 but I’m okay with being called momma...

I’m 40 next year and call my parents Mum & Dad.

Does anyone else find it weird when kids call their parents by their first names? Maybe I’m just old but if Ava ever does that she’ll get a clip round the ear

My dd shouts mum, mum, mum, mother motherrrrr and I ignore her and then Sandraaaaaa and I answer! I think it’s funny, never bothered me!

Yes, I find it odd. Maybe I’m old fashioned but to me it’s a sign of respect. My husband always tells our girl she’s lucky he’s not strict like his dad was... he had to call his dad Sir. It was always “ yes Sir, no Sir” ( American family) ... I was brought up to call my friends parents Mr and Mrs followed by their surname... here in the UK my daughters friends call me by my first name... it’s just what they seem to do. She had a friend who called her dad by his name, and yes it IS his name but again, my personal opinion is it lacks respect...
