Mobile Easy Jet Seats -Snug Compared to Virgin?

Evening all 😊

So last year I lost 7 stone, going from a size 28 to a 20/22. This meant that for the first time ever, I didn’t need a seat belt extender and I felt quite comfortable in the seat when we flew Virgin to Washington DC.

This year we are flying EasyJet to Krakow and I’m worried that the seats will be ‘snug’ on a budget airline. Can anyone advise on how they compare?

Thanks in advance 😊

I don’t know the official number, but when I last flew easy jet it did feel a little snug, but not uncomfortable, I wouldn’t say any worse then virgin, but we had the front seats too - so lots of extra leg room.

Virgin Atlantic are not known for their generous seat proportions.

Anyway I have checked and easyjet is 17.5inches as are the majority of the Virgin Atlantic planes.

So I think you will be absolutely fine and well done on the weight loss.

I’m a 16/18 and it’s not so much the seats I find snug but sometimes I’m at the end of the belt, but honestly I think it depends on what plane you get sometimes rather than the carrier. Sometimes I have lots of spare room in the belt sometimes not.

I flew Easy Jet and it was fine. In fact
I don't think they were any smaller than Virgin Economy.

Would very much agree it’s plane dependent. Never needed an extender on Virgin.

However needed one flying home with Ryanair from Rome, didn’t need one on the way out.

Needed one flying to CDG with Easyjet, didn’t need one flying back to MAN with Easyjet.

Dont sit at the back as they feel smaller.
As for seatbelts some seem to be a different length to others. I sat in an aisle one then moved to a window and it wasnt as tight.

Well done by the way
