Is my maths right ?

We are heading on a 9 day mini road trip Fort Lauderdale to Tampa in the half term
I want to do one day at Busch Gardens
There are 4 adults

I’m seeing that a gold annual pass gets me free parking , 2 free guests and up to 6 half price guests
and other perks

A day ticket is 340 dollars plus parking

A gold pass is 207 dollars free parking , 2 free guests and one half price about 55 as I think it will be gate price = 262

Is there any catch to this ... is it what it seems ?

I have no idea about Busch Gardens but it sounds similar to Sea Worlds offers for AP. The thing to watch out for carefully is black out dates for the free tickets. For example with Sea World you can't use the free tickets in October at all. Plus free parking isn't always available before you have activated your ticket so make sure you check that.

I am very confused by "day ticket"is $340. If you mean the total for 4 people that would be $440?

Thanks for your help
The day ticket is reduced if you buy online in advance
Looks like the gold pass is the way to go as our date is not blacked out
Plus if we go next year my ticket is paid

I think your maths looks right. And it looks like a bargain!

A 1 day ticket to BG is $85 (+tax) as long as you buy in advance. Four adults would come to $340 in total (I'll ignore tax for now).

A Gold pass costs $207. Then you get 2 free tickets, plus 50% off one day ticket, which is usually $110. So that's $262 (+tax) in total.

And with the Gold pass you get free parking and discounts. It's worth it just for the 2 free tickets. The only catch I can see is the following:

"Free guest tickets not valid for visitation during the following 2019 blockout dates". And on that page it says, "Free guest ticket not valid for visitation during the following 2019 blockout dates: March 1-April 30, June 1-30". I'd guess similar dates for 2020.

Thanks I’m going to buy it then ... seemed too good to be true but our visiting date is October 31st or first of nov so should be fine
Not really interested in Halloween but hoping it’s not too busy and everyone is saving themselves for evening events
