The shoe fest trip 2008
Hi guys I thought I would start my trip report. It has been helped along by the fact that we have booked for next year and my depression has now lifted and I can face the forums again.
Well first of all let me introduce you to my lovely family. “The cast” Rachel (me) - Chief Holiday planner, Florida obsessive, follow my itinerary or else kind ‘o’ girl. Official map reader/directions giver. Only to be filmed/photographed from the waist up. Damien- My lovely husband and travelling companion. Our designated driver for the whole trip (poor love he hardly ever gets to have a beer). He has worked really hard all year to fund our Florida obsession. Shannon- Lives in her room only venturing out to be fed or watch TV/surf the net. So sitting on a chair for nine hours on a plane watching TV and eating is her kind of heaven. Sinead- Daddy’s rollercoaster partner and my early morning pool buddy. Hates flying (gets air sick) and loves to shop. Sinead has entered her teenage years, i.e. - sulks, grunts and gives evil stares. Now anyone who read my report last year will know that Damien was ill for the whole holiday with a chest infection. This resulted in a trip to the hospital and completely messed up my holiday itinerary. Everyone has been warned get ill on this trip and suffer the consequences/wrath of the planner! I don’t want to even hear a sniffle out of anyone- clear! Right then, here was the plan. For this holiday we had planned to do universal as we haven’t been for a couple of years. A few days at Lido key beach in Sarasota and give Disney a miss. (Yeah right- back off Damien, I’m the planner here and I do the planning. Read your description, Damien- designated driver, Rachel – Chief Planner). Disney will get a visit from us don’t worry. Edited at 10:58 AM. |

I love the title of your trippie Rachel. Anything involving shoes and shopping gets my immediate attention
Can't imagine being really poorly on holiday, it must be a nightmare. No wonder you have everyone warned to stay healthy. Looking forward to reading more. |
