Virgin Atlantic sale

For what it's worth I had an email advising VS new sale. Email states; flexible booking policy, Covid refund and free unlimited date changes.

Bear in mind it is free of admin fees for date changes but you may have to pay the fare difference if there is one for the new date you choose.

from Virgin Atlantic website:-

Our flexible booking policy gives you the freedom to book with confidence, knowing you can make changes if you need to, without any admin charges.

For all flights and holidays up to 30th April 2022, you can change your dates as often as you like*. You can even choose a different destination or make one name change** (if you’d like someone else to benefit from your ticket).

You’ll just need to make sure you travel by 30th April 2023, and make any changes before your original departure date (three weeks before your Virgin Holiday).

This policy applies to bookings made, on or after 3rd March 2021. If you booked before this and would like to make a change, check out our earlier policies. (I have added the link to this below)

flywith.virginatlantic/g...es-policy.html

Do bear in mind that any new travel arrangements are subject to availability, and there may be a fare difference to pay if you change your dates and the new fare is higher. There may be other charges to pay under our standard terms and conditions.

I think there's a few airlines sucking people in, and once you have a significant amount in vouchers, you are tied to that airline.
If you can buy for just after the resumption, you may be quids in, but I think many people will end up in this hypothetical situation. A flight which is normally a grand, costs £800 if you book now, then if it gets canned and you get that as a voucher... you find the new flight is 1300, but rather than look at the 30% increase you concentrate on the fact you only have to find £500 next year...it doesn't seem as bad. !

Just a wee bit early for me to start looking.

I'm looking for August 2022 as August 2021 ended up a non starter sadly and it tells me my dates are more than 331 days away.

Hiya DC, VS've been very helpful re our UC reward seats from last Nov's 50% off miles sale [£638pp T&Fs]. Bought hoping VS would cancel, they did and banked until Dec 22. Recently opted for a different route, no additional miles just £7pp extra taxes.

If VS remain in business our UC rewards may prove to be a canny purchase... just need that travel corridor open for 1st Nov

Hi pritch, I believe VS can only be booked 330 days pre-flight, Depending on your specific dates, August availability may not show until mid/late September, or later for your return.

I'd lay a bet that VS will have more sales, hang on in there.
