This government has totally f*****d us over on travel. Absolute jokers. At the same time I see this, I’m seeing the EU saying they are opening up quarantine free travel from US and Ursula Von Der Europe in Portugal showing us the EU covid travel passport.🤬

To make the call that up to 30 Sep is off the table at this point is staggering given the rules are changing every week. The cynic within me thinks if travel resumes and the flights open ahead of 30 Sep the cheap booking I had will now cost twice the amount. Now the joy of fighting for a refund.

Given they have cancelled all the Dublin > MCO flights as well until 30 September. Looks like they think little chance of going before then.
Wonder if they have inside info on ‘task force’? Great job guys, great job. The first ever ‘task force’ with no real task.

Unfortunately the Manchester flights definitely won't be going ahead before September. I mentioned earlier my friends who were due to start in May were told it was cancelled and new training course is September. They wouldn't have any crew to operate even if they wanted to now.

Our Aer Lingus flights are part of a package hol- not heard anything from them yet. Wonder if they will move us to alternative flights or cancel the holiday? Tbh- at this point I’m that exhausted with it all I almost don’t care anymore 😩

Wow. I am devastated for those booked on Aer Lingus. That was a complete surprise to me.

I guess my question would be is that an EU / Eire related decision? Or just an Aer Lingus decision to protect themselves from further cancellations / refunds / vouchers?

I’m so gutted. We switched from BA to AL and had to decide by Monday if we would go or postpone. We decided to go and now I’m not mentally prepared to give up our holiday. Feels like everything has been against us since we booked.

Think it might be foreshadowing that the border won't reopen. Ireland will be accepting American tourists next month but the MCO flights were suspended to October a few days before the Irish government made the travel announcement last month although not communicated to passengers unless you got the right agent as some here did. Cancelling MAN is not a good sign as the flights were very well booked.

Despite Ireland signing up for the EU green cert next month, routes have either fully been axed or heavily reduced. Majority until end of October.

DUB - ZRH/BLQ/PSA/MXP/CTA/AHO/SPU/PUY/PGF/MRS/NTE/GVA.

SNN - LHR many axed until 12/9 and the daily EI 380 until 30/10.
