Booked next August 2022 TUI into Melbourne anyone used it ?
as above have bitten the bullet & booked flights direct from Newcastle to Melbourne with TUI... was more than we like to pay but the draw of flying 25 mins away without messing about in direct were the winning factors. These flights are also close to selling out with folk transferring from this year, so its snooze you lose..
anyway looking on the map seem be about 50 mile (sanford was about 40 iirc) from orlando area a straight run along the 192 then onto wherever so anyone used this airport before? any idea where we can get a estimate of a transfer probably to LBV area also considering a car for this & a mid 2 week beach weekend.. but using uber/lyft for park trips etc & only using car as/when we have to. TIA |

There have been no international flights to this airport since 2001. TUI have been given an incentive by the local council to use this airport and it will be interesting to see how this works out for its customers. Prices are no cheaper than when they went direct to MCO.
Also, I would use the toll road and avoid 192 unless you like traffic lights😀 Edited at 10:51 AM. |

There are a few threads "buried" in Trip Planning which might turn up using the search function. Definitely worth a look but I am sure some Dibb members will be along soon with ideas.
Edited to addsome links to other threads:- https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho...&highlight=MLB https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho...&highlight=MLB MLB is a small airport with (at the moment) only domestic carriers operating AA from Charlotte, DL from Atlanta and a couple of new ones starting up soon. Melbourne is a typical regional airport. We flew back from there in 2017 via Atlanta. The check in lady was remarking that she'd never had someone fly to MME before.
It was quick, efficient and friendly. Not many amenities but good enough. I'd love to fly there direct from NCL ...the only thing that would put me off is whether they've got the immigration and car hire set up to deal with international flights. I remember the chaotic scenes at Fort Lauderdale when they tried it. Maybe you should write to them and enquire how their plans are progressing?! For transfers I'm sure this is another thing that will have more options nearer the time once word gets around. |
