But we're one step closer to getting to our happy place X
I believe it's any vaccine that is WHO approved.

I'm just waiting to hear about kids before we go over the top excited. I need to start saving for spending money and start the calorie counting again!

I really hope that's true Char! I have everything crossed.

Yeah that's the other hurdle now isn't it ... surely they don't expect those under 16 to be vaccinated ... but who knows.

You can do it You've got 8 months xx

OK so now things are moving again and planning is back on I need some help 🙈

I started looking at food restaurants last night and got to say I felt very overwhelmed. I don't plan to book meals every day but I wanted to create a list of places that we wanted to try. Last time we were off site we only did 9 nights so it wasn't too bad. So guys can you please hit me up with restaurant recommendations. We're open to pretty much anything, fast food and regular restaurants like Longhorns and Olive Garden. We do have a few from our last trip that we really want to try again.

Also going to pop a post up tonight re the food situation I mentioned a few pages ago 👀 x

The only place I am mad desperate to go to is Teak Neighbourhood Grill. The rest I think we will play by ear.

I'll add that one to the list

We'll be revisiting a few of our faves for sure. Steak N Shake, Olive Garden, Longhorns, Denny's (we did breakfast) Perkins (breakfast again) xx

Hi how are you all! So great to see some familiar names on here again

Yeah it wasn't our greatest idea but we still had a lovely break away.

It really wouldn't I was quite shocked when I worked it out against the dining plans.

Fingers crossed for May! Will you be making use of the lightening pass just being 2 of you? We spoke at length about it and being a family of 5 it would add another $1000 for 2 weeks on the trip for us and I just can't justify it sadly.

Oh a friend of mine has just gone to Gran Canaria yesterday, so I'll keep everything crossed for you. It will be so nice to get a little break away, I think everyone needs it after the last 18 months. I hope you have a lovely time xx
Hi Kelly
Sorry I’ve only just seen your reply.
Well it looks like we’ll both be off to Orlando next year 😀 I think we’ll probably do the lightening lane but I’m really reluctant to pay extra for the more popular rides.
I did say the only exception would be Tron (if it’s open by May) which I would pay for as DH birthday present but now they’ve scrapped the boarding groups for Rise of the Resistance I might be paying for that too.

$1000 is a lot of extra money for you to pay out so I don’t blame you not going for it.

We’re all packed for Gran Canaria I just hope I’ve done everything right with the paperwork 🤞I never thought going on holiday would be such a faff.

Oh I'm so pleased for you! I agree though I would be reluctant to pay for the more popular rides. I think we're probably just going to try and get them done earlier or later in the day. When is Tron due to open? I know the dates changed due to covid. Fingers crossed it's open for you going.

Do you watch Tim Tracker? I'm sure I watched a video last week where Rise of the Resistance was only a 60 minute wait around 3pm.

It really is when it's already so much more expensive. We will probably decide closer to the time, but I highly doubt we will pay the extra. I need to look into the DAS changes for Noah too.

Oh you'll be there now, I hope you are having an amazing time, I can't wait to hear how it was. It's so lovely seeing people going on holiday, brings a sense of normality. Have a wonderful time xx

** Mini Update**

Thought I'd do a little mini personal update.

I made a comment a week or so ago about how the food report will be different this time, so thought I'd explain a little.

Last August I had weight loss surgery, which means I can only eat very small portions now. Generally when going out for meals I will order a side, a starter or a kid's meal, therefore the food report isn't going to be the best as there will most likely only be Chris ordering an entree

The only issue I have is whether this will be ok in the US. When we've been out for meals here if I've ordered a starter, side, kid's meal or opted to share Chris's meal it's never really been an issue I do have a medical card which explains about my stomach capacity and needing smaller portions, when using it here, again it hasn't been a problem.

I've tried searching the forums on here and I've found a few posts about the procedure I've had but nothing about anyone who's been post op.

So yeah that's the little update x
