Can you book 2 ADRs to occur at the same time?

With a view to cancelling one later once plans are firmed up?

Or is it like FP+, where there has to be eg 1 hour between bookings?

If you use the same details then usually it will be flagged up. If you want to do this then its best to use a different name.

You would need to have two MDE accounts as it will automatically cancel the first one. It’ll ask which one you want to keep.

Yes it is like FP, you will need to have at least a one hour gap between ADRs. The only way around would be to book on two different MDE accounts.

So I either need to book like 5pm and 6pm OR set up a second account for my hubby and have him book one and me the other? If we did that, can we each just book for 4 people without entering who the other 3 are?

Yes, either way will work. Although I think it may be more than an hour.

Agree, it needs to be at least (or rather just over) an hour. You cannot book 5pm and 6pm but you could book 5pm and 6:05pm.

Wonderful! Thanks all.

And to confirm, we DON'T need to say who the other 3 diners are at the initial booking stage?

This used to be allowed but was stopped. Rightly so in my view as it clogs up the system meaning people who genuinely want a reservation have reduced availability. This is also why they brought in the cancellation fee because multiple bookings was so rife.
