Huey Lewis, Frankie and Jennifer Rush are all totally different songs, written by different people.

Jennifer Rush song. Written by Gunther Mende plus others.

Frankie goes to Hollywood song.. written by the band.. and produced by Trevor Horn (that is for Mickey H)

Huey Lewis and the news song, written by Huey.

Jimmy Buffet's version of Everybody's Talking is the best ever version.

The first song we play on any Florida road trip. You've got to be wearing T Shirt, Shorts, Sunglasses and Flip Flops.

The reasons I would describe it as genius are..
1. Everybody, even kids know the song. It has stood the test of time.
2. The production is as always, immaculate.
3. It is truly unique, unlike anything before or since. Many artists simply follow the mainstream.
4. Everyone remembers when it came out and what was happening (MTV). Therefore the message is remembered.
5. It made them millions.. and millions. It continues to do so.

Trevor Horn is a very interesting wiki read. Few realise just how much he has been involved in.
I just had a quick look. Thought this bit very interesting!

Several musicians have described Horn's style of production as dominating. Frankie Goes to Hollywood's debut album Welcome to the Pleasuredome barely featured any of the band's performances, instead featuring Horn and session musicians (lead single "Relax" cost £70,000 spent across three sessions that included scrapped versions by the band and by Ian Dury's backing band, before Horn re-recorded the song himself

Only remembered for that one song? He co-wrote "Owner of a Loney Heart".

TBH, I think of him more as a producer. And he's produced a lot of iconic songs. He founded ZTT and formed Art of Noise, for which he co-wrote a lot of their songs. The guy's a legend.

I said ‘remembered for one song’, because he sang it. He also wrote amongst other things..
‘All the things she said’ for Tatu
‘Fire starter’ for Prodigy.
‘Mirror mirror’ for Dollar
‘Slave to the Rythm’ for Grace Jones.
'The Double Dutch' for Malcolm McLaren.

We must agree, a very diverse selection from a very talented man.. who as already said is better known as a director.

One of my all time favorite albums Lexicon of Love has Horns handprints all over it.
