New Genie System..
Not sure I get it?!?
How would it work for us, family of 4 staying 5 nights at a Disney hotel next August. We’ll probably do Disney for those 5 days abs then other stuff when we stay at the villa. We’ve never been to Galaxy’s Edge so that’s a must do for us. Does the new system mean I would use my one (paid for) “fast pass” for that and then any other ride I would just queue for unless I wanted to pay another $15 per person? Sorry for being a bear of little brain…..

This will get merged in eventually, but to summarise the huge thread...
The $15 per person per day is access to Genie+ which allows you to book 1 FP at a time to around 40 tier 2 attractions in their next available timeslot. You can book as many FPs as you can get though, so as soon as you've used one, you can book another. With how this worked at Disneyland (this system is basically identical to MaxPass) you could book your next FP as soon as you tapped into the line for your current FP. The tier 1 attractions will be a separate fee, that is payable per person per ride. Pricing has not been released yet. Not enough details yet on how this one will work, other than it will also be bookable on the day. But you may be able to choose your arrival window, similar to the old FP+ selection. Just no longer free, and limited to 2 per day. Edited at 12:46 PM. |

Thanks for that loldis, the other thread is a little overwhelming…
I’m in the same boat as you Bacon&Avocado. It’s a shame we now have to pay extra for fast passes I hope it’s going to be an easy process 🤞🏽 |

It’s madness. This will be our first time onsite and it just keeps in getting more and more pricey.

People claiming they need a DAS pass might mysteriously increase in the near future.
