How long is it to drive from Kissimmee to the Space Center and how long do you think we will spend there?

We've been considering this, and I think it's about an hours drive. We're thinking just half a day and then beach in the afternoon? Either cocoa or Daytona... Weather dependant... So I'm interested to see your replies

Just under an hours drive & it's an all day experience.

You really need more than half a day.

I would definitely suggest a whole day, there is so much to see!

Took us about 1hr 20 min to drive to KSC from Highlands Reserve, but we didn't race there. Got there and the place was relatively empty (it was a Sunday) - we could park really close to the entrance even though it was about 10 ish.
You could do it in half a day if you missed loads We spent the day there and left about 5ish. We then drove onto Cocoa Beach and sat on the pier for a while before having a walk around (we're not beach people!) But I've heard people say that they didn't like it, so I suppose it depends on what interests you. Deb

it take about a hr from I drive taking it steady
you will need a good 1/2 a day or longer to see everything and now they have a shuttle there which you can look around

It's a nice drive ~ 60 mins - though be aware you go through a few tolls so have your money ready! As others have said yes definately a whole day worth of activities. Really worth it

Thanks all. We've just done 5 consecutive days at the Disney parks so need a break!
