When you book your seats, go for the last row. They recline fully without bothering anyone behind and we found the back of the plane lovely and quiet.

Yep, I agree with loola30. You can recline without any bother. I always bring a pair of cosy slipper socks and a neck pillow. You can't get too comfy on a plane lets face it haha

But on the way out it's useful to be further forward for immigration so we went for row 37 (still nobody behind - just the loos).

Ha , I know baybeeuk, I was hoping I'd missed the memo on how to get comfy. Calling v/a 72 hours( can't book through flying club online with a little one, they told me they would do it for me) before to book seats so not sure what we will get.

Book the latest flight home as possible. Eat a really fatty burger with milkshake and fries just before heading to board. Dont drink a coffee past 5pm. Wear a hoodie. Buy goo active noise cancelling in ear headphones. Ignore all on flight food with the except of breakfast.

Sleep.

Easy

I've bought a new memory foam neck pillow, it's heaven.
I think the most important thing is to make sure you're clothes are comfy, nothing worse than tight clothes when you've got to sit for hours. I'd also hate to feel cold so always make sure I have a hoody or cardigan with me. If you travel in flip flops, pack fluffy socks too

A good belt of scotch and a couple of NyQuil usually work for me

Sadly for me I think the only way I would be comfy for the whole flight is to be able to lie flat but that's not likely with the budget and the need to go in school holidays. This time I'm going to take noise cancelling headphones so I can listen to my relaxation apps so I may drift off.
