Checking FlightRadar24 this morning VA has a 747 flying the route Gatwick to San Jose in Costa Rica. Call sign VIR630P

I wonder who they are doing that for as it's not for themselves. Maybe bringing back passengers for another airline?

Maybe getting me some of that excellent Costa Rican coffee.

A quick Google suggests that within the last 24 hours there was a costa rica volcano eruption north of San Jose. No idea if related

No idea if this is linked to some form of relief flight to collect passengers.
