Will do thinking if this one falls through cruising is not meant for us - had to cancel the last one for chemo and this was a treat for finishing treatment. Ah well it’s just a holiday feeling so sorry for all the staff.

Thanks for the review, interesting that you would cruise with them again. True that they are cheap!

I should be clear. With young kids yes I would cruise again, knowing what I know now.

However, hubby and I are off on a 2 night Cunard cruise in a few weeks and can’t wait so I’ve not shaken my love of ‘posh’ cruises off yet!

Haha I've never tried Cunard I'm not sure I'm posh enough!

As you know from what I've said before we would never go with MSC again but that's based off our needs/wants now as two young adults. So that could definitley change once we have kids. It's not like I'd call them a bad cruise line- just not suited to us and the things we find important (food and entertainment!)

Hi. Really helpful review. I am off on a cruise with my 20 month old little girl and stopping at the same ports that you did. I was just wondering if you had any recommendations. Thanks.

I'm tempted to book one of the 2021 sailings that they are pushing for the Magnifica after they chop her in half, stuff in a new bit and send her to Southampton for the Summer.

This is exactly my point. With young kids you needs change. And for what MSC does it’s perfect.

I’m defo not ‘posh’ enough for Cunard so think we will be hiding out in our cabin for 2 nights 😂

Well we did mostly things that were cheap as at that age they don’t really get much out of things. In Rotterdam we bought a day travel ticket and rode the trams around. Went to the market place, Euromast, cube house and did a harbour tour. Le Harve is actually very pretty and a nice town to wander around with a lovely beach area. Bruges, make sure you have a buggy with decent suspension or leave it behind because it’s all cobble stones! A maclaren wouldn’t make it I don’t think. Hamburg was lovely as well. We went to minatur Wunderland, it was AMAZING

I would encourage you to as they will have the same promotion (inside upgrade to balcony). You’ve gotta try it to see whether it suits. If you hate it don’t do again.

Where are you off to on Cunard and have you sailed with them before?

We’ve done 3 sailings of varying length with them and have 4 more booked. Just love the ambience on board and we aren’t posh by any means.
