anna maria island - at the weekend

morning folks. we’ve done AMI as a day trip on a few of our trips but we’re usually late august/early september. We’ve had to go a bit earlier this year and I wondered how busy AMI is on a weekend. looking at 22nd 23rd of August. Would it be insane?

Can’t say that I have noticed it any busier week day or week end.

We have done a 5 day and 10 day stay- not noticed a difference👍

Florida schools go back in mid August so the Island is usually quieter after that - the season is the winter when the snowbirds come down from the north. We have been in August and if the weather is good, there may be some more day trippers at the weekend but mostly fishing or out in their boats. Obviously weekdays will be quieter but weekends will be fine. Have a look on this link later in the year to see what is going on whilst you are there

My Brother in Law lives nearby in Bradenton and would say that the weekends would be busier but where we go the beach is really quiet during the week so even at weekends its still far from busy

Never noticed any difference in all of our trips there and we stay mostly 4/5 days each time
