Fast passport turn around times

Hello just a quick one for anyone who needs a new passport- my new one has just arrived in 2 weeks! Not sure if people are waiting for blue ones to come out or it’s just a quiet period but I was very impressed.

I realise it’s normally 3 weeks anyway but I got a shock when it said it was out for delivery tomorrow and then just arrived at my door!

My daughters has just took a week we did on line application sent off her old passport the same day. It's not blue though still bugundy it was issued on 29th February made her smile

It has only been a week for about the last three years, we did ours in January 2017 and it was less than a week then, which I understood to be normal.

Oh right sorry, well that’s embarrassing. I only thought it was fast because mine last year was 5 weeks (new one is due to name change).

Doesn’t matter then haha!

They perhaps (I don’t know) publish a time of three weeks to cover themselves.
