DisneyAL - 13 Nights at Coronado Springs - Day 2 - Magic Kingdom

Day 1 - Travel Day

Rides Rode - 10
FastPasses Used - 7
Weather - Sunny - 32/14
Steps taken - 17,859 steps
Miles walked - 8.76 miles

We both woke up early at 5am this morning, clearly not quite adjusted to the time. At 7am we went for a walk to collect our resort mugs and had breakfast at El Mercado. We are quickly discovering how nice this resort is. A had a SouthWest Omelette with potatoes and chocolate milk and L had pancakes and sausage with a chocolate muffin. Both breakfasts were really tasty but the milk and muffin are currently in the room fridge as they were so filling.

At 8am we got a Lyft to Walmart. The ride took about 10 minutes from outside the tower. Walmart was huge so we took our time looking around and bought the essentials. We then got a Lyft back to the resort, put sun cream on and got the bus to Magic Kingdom which again took around 10 minutes. This took us to around 10:30am.

We were a little early for our first FastPass so went straight on the People Mover with a 10 minute wait time. We have had great success today getting additional fast passes to were able to go on all of the rides below.
  1. People Mover - 10 minute wait
  2. Space Ranger Spin - FastPass - 50 minute wait time
  3. Tomorrowland Speedway - 30 minute wait
  4. Space Mountain - FastPass - 85 minute wait
  5. Big Thunder Mountain - FastPass - 60 minute wait
  6. Little Mermaid - 5 minute wait
  7. Splash Mountain - FastPass - 90 minute wait
  8. It's a Small World - FastPass - 30 minute wait
  9. Dumbo - FastPass - 20 minute wait
  10. The Barnstormer - FastPass - 35 minute wait

We had lunch at Be Our Guest and at 6:30pm we found a great spot near the castle ready for Happily Ever After.

L walked over to Cosmic Rays to collect a mobile order to bring back to eat while we waited for the show.

We then watched Hapily Ever After and got the bus back to the resort to end the day.

Wow, you got lots done!
I'm interested in what you think of Coronado springs. It's sounds very positive so far?

The view from your room is gorgeous. We had to book Preferred due to availability so we're in Casitas, which is a shame as would like to be by that beach!

Did you happen to note how much your Lyfts to and from Walmart were and were you able to use WiFi to book the return? We didn't use data last trip but I found it a bit stressful at Premium Outlets when there was poor WiFi to get us back!

This resort is absolutely amazing, we are so impressed with it. We haven't some across any negatives at all so far but will report back if we do.

Our room location is absolutely perfect. The Lyfts should have cost just over $10 each way however we did some research before and found a promo before we left the UK for $5 off 3 rides each and also $5 each of our first ride so we only paid around $2-$3 plus tip for both.

Wifi around the resort is good, sometimes cuts out momentarily but quickly reconnects. We have used L's phone data as it's free to use in the US for when we are off property.
