MDE - 2 rooms getting linked?

Hiya!

Have just (stressfully) got our booking made for next year and having read a few threads seems we won’t be on the app for a while yet.
However we have 2 rooms booked but we are on one tour operator booking if that makes sense. So it has generated 2 Disney booking references for our hotel, tix and dining.

When I come to do ADR,s , fastpasses etc how do I do this for 2 rooms? Does second room need a separate MDE account and I then select them from family and friends list as I go through and book things?
We have only done 2 adults on previous trips so this is new to us!

Thanks

I was going to ask the same thing. We went last year 2a and 2c but my parents are coming too next year so I was after advice on how ADRs and fast pass booking will work - my parents wouldn’t know where to start!

We've previously had 2 separate rooms (will be 3 next time) and I managed everyone's reservations. They were a 2 bed at OKW with 8 people, and a studio at OKW with 4 people, so 12 of us in total.

I used a second email address and MDE account to link the 2nd room to (will be using 3 next time). This was only needed so that the reservation could be linked to someone and magic bands could be chosen etc.

I added the 11 others as "Friends and family", and I could then do everyone's fastpasses, and link the correct people to the ADRs (although it's not necessary to specify who exactly will be at the dining reservation, you can just specify group size without names).

We mostly ate table service meals together, but on the couple of occasions 2 of the group ate separately, I just made a separate ADR on the other email account.

This worked well for us, as no one else wanted to even attempt organising any of it!

Ah brill that’s makes sense. We are going with the in-laws so if they want to just do their own meal a couple of nights I can do that on their own account then. Like you I will be managing the whole lot too.
They wouldn’t have a clue!

I presume it works the same for fastpasses ? So I can book some with them and some without?

Thank you so much

If they're on your friends and family list you can pick and choose who to make fastpasses for on your account, so you won't need to make any through the 2nd account at all. When you choose the ride/time you get a list to tick who wants that fastpass, and you can book another fastpass for the same time for anyone else on your list that doesn't already have a fastpass.

Like you, I was a little worried before I did it, but it works quite well, most of the time!

The only snag I had one year on MDE was with ME! I was strangely on the list twice - once as "my account" and once as a "friend" (and it was the "friend" who had the room and ticket linked), which meant "my account" couldn't use the +10 days to make ADRs, but a quick call to Disney sorted it out

There's just 7 of us next time, and if we don't manage to switch to Old Key West, it'll be 3 rooms at POR, so I'm hoping the logistics of MDE won't be too difficult!

I've booked 2 rooms for this year and linked them both on the same MDE account without issues. Just using the link in MDE to add a reservation.

I'm managing all of the ADR's (already done), FP etc. via this one MDE account

Thank you so much for explaining that sounds simple enough. I am very particular about my WDW holidays so want complete control 😂
Fingers crossed you get OKW too !

Hi. I’ve been worrying about this too.

I want to book a room for 1 night at All Stars and its not showing any rooms for 5 available (should have booked a few weeks ago when they were there...) I was thinking of booking 2 rooms as it works out exactly the same price ( the kids are 20, 15 and 11 so no problem there) but there doesn’t appear to be the option to book 2 rooms and you just have to do it as 2 bookings - is that right? Or maybe the family suits will become available again when the free dining’s settled down?

I’ve had a right pain with this. I’ve got 2 rooms booked at FQ. I’ve managed to link both rooms with everyone’s tickets but when it came to Adrs yesterday it hasn’t brought up my +10 so I had to call them and do it. It’s all fine but I still can’t see the +10. They said they’d sorted it when I spoke to tech but I’m still worried about FastPass day. Out of interest does anyone know if you can book fastpasses over the phone as I’m not sure what I could do if they don’t link properly at 60 days! 🙀
